I just want to share a brief story with you guys and maybe this will help you to envision your goals and dreams a little more clearer in your desire to succeed in your Own Home Business. My husband is a US Marine who happens to be a Grunt (he is the low man on the totem pole)and he is currently in Iraq serving in a Combat Zone. This is his second time in Iraq. Last year was not so good because he and his Batallion lost 23 Brothers in the fight. This took a terrible tole on him however he continued to carry on. The Marine Corps has a saying "ADAPT AND OVERCOME" I use this saying on a daily basis and it really makes a difference when I have been thrown a curve in my business. (Food For Thought). The weekend before he left this last time he wanted to go on a 3 mile run and I told him that I wanted to join him in this. He stated "OK, but no matter how bad you feel you cannot fallout and there will be no stopping" I wholeheartedly agreed to this not knowing what I had just gotten myself into. I had not ran in years and my walks have been limited for some time now. We started out at a steady pace and I was doing quite well in keeping up with him. After 2 blocks however I thought I was going to have a Heart Attack right there on the side of the road and I fell behind. He was quite a distance in front of me and when he saw that I was slacking he ran back to me and in true Military Fashion screamed "Come on Pick it up" "Falling out is not allowed" Well this motivated me to resume the run and once again about 2 blocks more down the road I was falling behind definitely feeling as though I was beyond the Heart Attack stage and he continued to scream "Come on Pick it up". This contiuned for about 8 blocks until I truly could not run anymore and had to come to a dead stop. He ran back to me and said see "It doesn't matter how bad you feel, how bad you physically hurt you have to carry on, anything less is not accepted" and this is his way of life being in the Marine Corps. We walked back at a steady pace.
It occured to me later on that night "Oh gosh when I am tired, frustrated, fed up, not feeling well I can give up but my Husband can't, literally can't otherwise the repercussions of his actions would have grave consequences. I was taught a great lesson that day in that no matter what kind of day I am having in relation to my PIP Business I cannot give up. Just because I didn't sign anyone up, just because I didn't make a sale, just because the money I spent on an ad did not return the results I had anticipated, just because my Commissions are not looking that great, this is no excuse to throw my hands up and have a heart attack so to speak.
I take each day as it comes, whatever did or didn't happen yesterday in no way should reflect on what is going to happen or not today. I pledge each day to make the same commitment to growing my PIP Business as my Husband does to the Corps, Country and Flag.
Ok, so I said it would be a short story I am sorry for being so long winded.
